and has accumulated a lot of front-line teaching experience in mathematics, physical

Sander Langerak
EY Vice-Principal, ISA Wuhan International School
Sander Langerak is from the Netherlands. He has been in China since 2016.
He has a BA in History, an iPGCE in Early Years education, a TEFL, an IELTS and 2 IB PYP
certificates, (in IB PYP leadership and implementing student agency in Early Years).
From 2020 to 2022, he worked as the Academic Principal and PYP Coordinator at the
largest international Kindergarten in Sanya.
He successfully guided that school through the IB PYP authorization process which led to
that school becoming the first authorized IB PYP World School in Hainan.
Richard Beddoes
Head of Boarding, ISA Wuhan School
Graduated in Physics and Geology in 1992 from Staffordshire University, UK and has a
background in both education and business, including 8 years teaching English and
Physics in China and South Korea.
Founded and led his own outdoor education and retail business before moving to China in
2014, completing his international PGCE from The University of Nottingham.
He has helped to develop new school campuses and high-quality boarding provision in a
number of successful international schools in China.
Most recently, he initiated and developed the boarding provision as Founding Assistant
Head of a new school in Zhejiang.
He has also led the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award and the World Scholar's Cup,
helping students to build their confidence and enhance their university applications
through a wide range of extracurricular activities.
Georgios Avgerakis
Dean of Secondary, ISA Wuhan International School
Founding member of ISA Science City.
He holds a master’s degree in College Education with a specialization in Mathematics
from Rowan University in NJ, USA.
He has taught Mathematics at all levels in a wide variety of educational institutions in
Greece, the USA, Switzerland, and Mongolia. His teaching career began at Cumberland
County College in New Jersey, where he was an intern college instructor in 1992.
During his more than 20 years of involvement with the IB Diploma Programme, he has
served as a Mathematics teacher, Mathematics examiner and senior examiner, as well as a
Mathematics internal assessment team leader.
Julie Jones
Deputy-Head of Boarding, ISA Wuhan International School
Graduated in English Literature and History from Staffordshire University in 1997 before
obtaining her PGCE and QTS from Keele University.
She has more than 20 years’ experience as an English teacher, house and boarding leader
and as a senior leader in the United Kingdom and East Asia.
She has led as housemistress and head of year in well-known international schools in
China, South Korea and Malaysia.

Brandon Ghaston
PYP Coordinator, ISA Wuhan International School
He has been teaching and coordinating in kindergartens, primary schools, and middle
schools in China for over nine years.
He is a certified elementary educator, gaining his accreditations from Washington D.C.,
USA.
He was a PYPC previously at an International Kindergarten and International Primary
School in Guangzhou,
During his professional leadership experience, he was able to work for and with CISA (IB
official network for China) and CISA’s chairman.
At his previous employer, he was a part of an authorization support team that helped get
a company group kindergarten and middle school IB authorized.
Mr. Ghaston has also been twice approved to lead sessions for IB Global Conferences in
Beijing, China and Bangkok, Thailand.
Adam Klarfeld
Music Teacher and Head of Pastoral, ISA Wuhan International School
Former head of pastoral at ITG-SUIS Xiamen, as well as the position of Head of
Curriculum & Cambridge Coordinator.
He is currently a doctoral candidate at Indiana University, and holds a Masters Degree
as well as a Professional Degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music, and also a
Bachelor's Degree from the Jerusalem Academy of Music in Israel.
His former students have received offers from numerous universities around the globe,
such as Boston University (USA), University of South Hampton (UK), McGill University
(Canada), and more.
Before teaching for the past 8 years, Adam spent time as a professional performer in
music, where he played in several professional orchestras, gave recitals, and performed
solos on stage and live on national radio of his home country.
Dr. Jozef Macak
Sports Coordinator and CCA Coordinator, ISA Wuhan School
Dr. Jozef Macak is a teacher as well as leader with decades of experience in education.
He has been head of the PE departments at various schools, including The British
International School as well as SUIS Xiamen.
He has also led The English International School of Bratislava and served as
CEO/Director.
Jozef completed his PhD at Comenius University in Bratislava in the Slovak Republic.
He is currently doing an NPQH (National Professional Qualification Headship with a focus
on leading an international school) in the UK.
